This beginner-friendly watercolor workshop will give you the opportunity to paint simple flowers over top of popular and classic song lyrics using watercolor! The class will begin with a lesson on the basics of watercolor, followed by instruction on techniques needed to paint several types of flowers. Time allowing, many participants will be able to illustrate more than one song lyric!

Unlike most painting workshops, at Owlfeathers Watercolor we do not rely on copy-after-me style instruction. Rather, we believe everyone is capable of creating unique artwork when taught the foundational techniques and skills in small group lessons, and then encouraged and supported by one-on-one individualized instruction.
Students will view paintings from at least 4-5 artists, and sometimes even prior students showing different ways the same technique or theme might be expressed through watercolor. Students are able to draw inspiration from provided artist examples, a personal photo, or their own imagination! As a result, no two paintings will be alike, as everyone finds their own artist's voice!
