This beginner-friendly watercolor workshop will give you the opportunity to paint whimsical flowers on black watercolor paper using a mix of watercolor and gouache! The class will begin with a lesson on the basics of watercolor, followed by instruction on techniques needed paint the flowers. The workshop will be a mix of small group and individualized instruction.

Unlike most painting workshops, at Owlfeathers Watercolor we do not rely on copy-after-me style instruction. Rather, we believe everyone is capable of creating unique artwork when taught the foundational techniques and skills in small group lessons, and then encouraged and supported by one-on-one individualized instruction.
Students will view paintings from at least 4-5 artists, and sometimes even prior students showing different ways the same technique or theme might be expressed through watercolor. Students are able to draw inspiration from provided artist examples, a personal photo, or their own imagination! As a result, no two paintings will be alike, as everyone finds their own artist's voice!
